H10 Racó del Pi, Barcelona

Three friends and I stayed,here for 2 nights before our Mediterranean cruise. We had rooms with two single beds and a French balcony. The beds were very comfortable and we so enjoyed people watching from our little balcony. There are so many cute shops, bakeries, restaurants, etc. within walking distance. It is close to La Rambla but we enjoyed walking the streets closer to our hotel. The elevator is very small - probably four people max occupancy.

My wife and I speak a little spanish so have no fears of staying amongst the local people. In fact it is part of our holiday enjoyment to use local bars and restaurants. Therefore the Raco del Pi in the old Gothic Quarter of Barcelona was the ideal loction for us. Not only the location was just right, it was one of the cleanest, friendliest and most comfortable hotel we have ever experienced. Reception, breakfast and cleaning staff were so helpful and friendly. Reception staff spoke perfect English, as did some of the support staff. Breakfast was good quality food and as much as you want (even bacon and eggs). The ensuite rooms were a good size with very comfortable beds. Although part of a group of Hotels (H10) it was like staying at a small family hotel.

We wanted somewhere central and easy to walk to everywhere and Raco Del Pi was perfect. There are restaurants, bars and shops just outside the door. The Cathedral was 2 mins walk away and Plaza Catalunya 6 mins walk. Even though we were so central , our room was quiet and we couldnt hear outside noise. We were greeted at check with a glass of cava , a lovely touch. Our room was compact but perfect for a few nights stay with shower gel, shampoo, conditioner , lotion and other amenities so didnt need to bring those. There is a tea/coffee station from 1 -8pm with some pastries which was great. We had breakfast included which had a continental selection as well as eggs and bacon cooked to order. There was also mimosa if you wanted. The 2 ladies there were lovely. In fact all the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Would def stay here again as the position was perfect for exploring .

This beautiful hotel was just perfect for us and our adult daughter and son-in-law. It is a smallish boutique hotel right in the middle of Bari Gotic. Barcelina Cathedral is just around the corner. We went to Sunday Mass there and enjoyed visiting inside (for free) and also saw the wonderful, traditional Catalune dancing in the square with the musicians on the cathedral steps. DON'T MISS IT!! Our hotel room and bathroom were spotless with light from 2 windows. Bed was very comfy. All rooms surround an open courtyard with a wonderful patio at the bottom. We all enjoyed our wine, Jamon and queso there. Lots of tables and chairs. A peaceful spot! All hotel associates at the desk were wonderful. Pleasant and helpful, answering endless questions. Morning breakfast was terrific, reasonably priced and served by 2 kind Señoras. La Rambla was super close. We did take taxis to Sagrada Familia, Parc Guel, Casa Milla, etc. Don't miss Gilda's restaurant nearby! Owner Michel and chef Elvis are fabulous!! Don't look any further! This is the perfect hotel!!!
